Married with two children, one in high school, one in college, one in grad school on her own out in the real world.  My lovely and gracious wife is a professional body builder (100% natural).  If I trained half as hard as she does, I really would be fast.  I make my living as a self employed geophysicist.

A disappointing day.  My friends here know I was hoping for much better.  No doubt I ran the first half too fast.  I was thinking about it a lot while doing it.  The wind and legs felt good.  I was worried I might pay for it later, but I didn't think I would crash so thoroughly down the stretch.   It must be hard to judge the effort on that down hill.  Hopefully I learned something.

It was great to see you on the course yesterday. Sorry you didn't get that time you were trying for. It is so hard not to overdue it on the downhills.

Great to see you at the start. Sorry this race did not meet your expectations. Running down a hill like this one can be a challenge, I am sure that this race will be a good learning experience.

Keep running strong!

I think I will run in Logan in a couple of weeks if the work schedule allows. This time I think I will try for even splits. I think I had a good plan, if executed properly, but I way way over did it. When the guy yelled my split at the half (just seconds of my best half), I new I had screwed up.

Thanks for the encouragement gang (Curt, Jeff, Bill, Marlin et. al.). I have already shifted from disappointment to excitement about the next run.

I also think it would be a good idea to race more often. I just made a rookie mistake because I have too little race experience. Live and learn!

Glen, consider giving yourself two more weeks to recover and run the Huntsville Marathon in Ogden Valley. It'll only set you back $70 instead of $125 for TOU.

Glen, it was nice to see you last weekend, you did good and we will have to plan a run together some time.

Glen, are you still planning on running Top of Utah? It is still a BQ for 2013, as for huntsville will be for 2014. I am running it but with no expectations. Maybe run it together?

I was on the fence, but your offer is simply too good to pass up. I'll take you up on the offer to run together. I hope you mean that you will slow way down for me because you know I can not keep up with you.

Glen, I do mean it, let's get that BQ and run Boston in April
